These Are Taylor Swift’s Rules for Healthy Living
The famous singer and songwriter Taylor talks about how balanced diet, regular exercises, and writing songs help her stay happy, healthy and balanced.
How She Stays Healthy:
Taylor acknowledges that riding for hours on a bus, strutting on the stage, and the lack of possibility for sleeping in her own bed can take its cost, physically and mentally. Crucial to staying healthy and happy is sticking to a comforting routine, no matter where she is at that moment.
When she gets to her resting room, the first thing she does is unpacking , even if she is there for just one night. “I do it everywhere I go,” she says laughing. “I really like the way it feels to put clothes in drawers and shoes in the closet.” She also is always traveling with candles, and she never let her iPod far. On her iPod, she is constantly downloading music.
Listening to fellow artists’ latest songs is what inspires Taylor Swift to exercise, being active and regardless of her tour schedule. Also, she makes sure to run on a treadmill every day.
“For me, running is about making a whole bunch of new songs and running to their beat. It’s good because it makes me find a gym wherever I go,” she says. Unlike her other colleagues, “I’m very much out there in the world, and I love exploring the places I go when I’m on a tour. It’s important for me to live a quality life.”
The singer knows that staying disciplined about how she’s eating is crucial to her health. While this lanky, superstar doesn’t need to watch her weight, but she still pays attention to what she eats on weekdays. On the weekends, all bets are off.
“During the week, I try to eat healthy, so this means salads, yogurts, and whole grain sandwiches,” Taylor says.
“No sugary or soda drinks. I am trying to keep it lighter, but it’s nothing too restricted or crazy. I don’t like to create too many rules where I don’t need ones. We know what is really good for us, thanks to our common sense.” But, on weekends, “I allow myself to eat what I know from my common sense is not so good for me,” she says giggling. “I like comfort unhealthy foods. I love a burger and I love fries, I love ice cream so so much, and I like baked cookies. Actually, I love baking anything.”
One daily treat is a Starbucks run. There she opts for a skinny vanilla latte on weekdays and a spiced pumpkin latte on the weekends. “The point is I’m never cutting out what I really love, which is Starbucks.”
