Why Sage helps to relieve from cough?

The high efficiency of the plant is explained by the content of valuable etheric oils in its leaves, which have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. Also, there is a lot of phosphoric acid, vitamin C, B1, P and tannin in their composition.
In the case of dry cough, traditional medicine recommends sage extract in the milk. It is believed that such a drink softens dry, hard cough, dissolves phlegm, stimulating mucus clearance and soothes cough. It has antiseptic anti-inflammatory effect, contributes to faster recovery.
